- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. 1. The purpose of this combined synopsis/solicitation and any resulting contract award is to procure tour orientation operator services for the United States Army Garrison Vicenza, Italy Army Community Service (ACS). This procurement is for overseas orientation services, including cross cultural training for Active Duty Soldiers, family members and Department of Defense (DOD) Civilians. 2. Response Due Date: All responses are due back to the Regional Contracting Office - Italy no later than 3:00 PM Central European Time (CET) on 7 May 2014. Ensure all responses are submitted in accordance with the instructions provided in the solicitation. 3. Pre-proposal Conference on Tuesday 29 April 2014 at 4:00 PM (CET) at Army Community Services BLDG 108. All prospective offerors are highly encouraged to attend the pre-proposal conference for the purpose of discussing solicitation requirements and asking questions regarding this solicitation. Please send a notification email to angela.l.carey4.mil@mail.mil no later than 3:00 PM (CET) on Monday 28 April 2014 stating your intent to participate. 4. Type of Contract: The Government contemplates awarding a single, firm-fixed price, indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract. 5. Anticipated Award Date: 1 June 2014 6. Period of Performance: Five (5) years, consisting of one (1) base year with four (4) option years. 7. Funding: Funding is available for the base year of performance. 8.
