- DESCRIPTION: The U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Maria Bray intends to award a contract for Vega Industries LED Lanterns. 1. 12 Volt, 12 AH Gel Lead E Battery Vega-12 QTY 4 2. Red Vegas VLB-67-R07 QTY 30 3. Green Vegas VLB-67-G07 QTY 30 4. Yellow Vegas VLB-67-Y07 QTY 5 5. White Vegas VLB-67-W07 QTY 5 6. Shipping The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Vega Industries LTD under the authority of FAR 6.302. The Vega Lanterns are the only authorized lanterns which are used for Aids to Navigation (ATON) Operations. Market research was conducted to locate potential suppliers however no other sources were found. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
