- CLIN 0001 - Foreign Object Debris (FOD) and Fuel Caddy/Containers Quantity: 6 Unit of Issue: Each Specifications for the Army Aviation Support Facility #1 FOD and FUEL CADDY/CONTAINERS I. Purpose: Outline the requirements necessary to obtain a total of six (6) FOD and Fuel Caddies for flight line use. 2. Background: Multiple locations for the disposal of foreign object debris (FOD) and aircraft fuel samples are required on the flight line. 3. Specifications: a. Scope of Work: This statement of work is for six (6) FOD & Fuel Caddies. The FOD & Fuel Caddy must have a minimum, the following: i) Housing will be a modified pyramid shape measuring approximately 36" square at the base and be no more than 30" tall. ii) Housing will comply with all OSHA regulations concerning color (yellow) and labeling (FLAMMABLE LIQUID) as they relate to the storage of flammable materials. All painted surfaces must be painted in a manner to withstand rain, snow, sleet, direct sunlight and other adverse weather conditions. iii) Housing will comply with all DOT regulations for flight line use (i.e. reflective tape) iv) Access door must be removable and have to ability to securely latch closed when not in use. Additionally, when open the door must be latched securely to the side of the housing. Access door must be securely tethered to the housing at all times to prevent debris on the flight line. v) Housing must be of solid construction with no hinges. vi) Housing must be vented in multiple locations in order to vent fuel vapors. Vents must prevent water intrusion during adverse weather conditions. vii) The housing and all internal metal components must have the ability to be grounded. viii) The unit will contain the following: a) One ( 1) removable drip pan b) Four (4) fuel sample bottles c) One (I) fuel sample bottle rack d) One (I) five-gallon OSHA certified portable fuel can w/funnel e) One (I) removable FOD container f) One (I) exterior grounding cable at least 2 feet long g) One (I) interior grounding cable equipped with a quick disconnect or alligator clip on one end. h) Provisions to add at least 100 pounds of ballast to prevent movement ix) The unit cannot be of a design that requires it to be penitently affixed to one location. b. Period of Performance: Items to be delivered no later than 01 June 2014 c. Physical Location: Chosen contractor will produce end item in their facility and coordinate shipping to: Quantity of 4 delivered to: AASF #l ATTN: CPI James Paulette 2816 Richardson Rd Buzzards Bay, MA 02542 Quantity of 2 delivered to: AASF #1 ATTN: CW4 Tim Tompkins 179 Falcon Dr. Westfield, MA 01085 d. Supplies and Equipment: Contractor will provide all materials for construction. e. Acceptance Criteria: Items should arrive undamaged, ready for use and require common tools for installation only. 4.
