- Description
- Norfolk Ship Support Activity (NSSA), PO Box 215, Portsmouth, VA, 23705-0215, is seeking to identify potential sources to accomplish a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP), Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract for Alternating Current/Direct-Current (AC/DC) Motors and Motor Generator (MG) sets. The Period of Performance (PoP) is anticipated to have a one-year Base period (1 June 2015 to 30 May 2016) with four one-year option periods. Award will be based on best value procurement utilizing technical, past performance, and price as evaluation factors. This procurement is not restricted to MSRA/ABR contractors. This is a follow-on procurement to the current Contract N50054-10-D-1011. Summary of Requirement: Work will include transport of removed equipment to a contractor's shop, disassemble, clean, inspect, and report conditions found and, as directed by the Government, recondition AC/DC Motors and MG sets. Work may include repairs to motors, motor generator sets, electric brakes, rewind of motors, generator cleaning, etc. Reconditioning may require replacement with new parts in lieu of repair. Upon completion of recondition of AC/DC Motors and MG sets, requirements will necessitate transport to ship, reinstall, adjust, and operational test. The work will be accomplished onboard U.S. Navy vessels and other military type vessels. Performance of work will be primarily on vessels located in a 50-mile radius of NSSA, Portsmouth, VA as specified on each individual task order, but may be accomplished worldwide. The selected North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 336611 applies with a size standard of 1,000 employees. Potential sources are notified that FAR Clause 52.219-14, Limitations on Subcontracting will be included in any RFP set-aside for small business concerns. Sources are requested to identify any ongoing Government contract vehicles they may have for the same or similar work. Please include the name and number of the ongoing contract, contract scope, contract type, PoP, dollar thresholds and limitations, the issuing Government agency, and the name and telephone of the Contracting Officer. This contract information should be concise. Only interested parties who intend to submit a proposal should submit a written expression of interest to the address provided not later than (NLR) 12 May 2014.
