Description
RFP 269908 April 2014 Requirements for logistical support for NDA training in Los Alamos 2 June-11 July 2014 The Center of Excellence project under Pacific Northwest National Laboratory's Materials Protection, Control and Accountability (MPC&A) program requires logistical support for 10 people traveling from China and three interpreters also traveling from China. The meetings will be held at Los Alamos National Laboratory located in Los Alamos, New Mexico starting the week of June 2 and end on July 11, 2014. The trainees will need to arrive in the U.S. on June 1 and depart on July 12 and the interpreters will arrive and depart on the schedule identified below. The following support is required: A. Coordinate lodging - Accommodations for approximately 16 people at the Comfort Inn located at 2455 Trinity Drive in Los Alamos. All Chinese trainees will check in on 1 June and check out on 12 July. The interpreters will have varying check-in and check-out dates as identified below in Paragraph D. B. Coordinate per diem - Provide all Chinese participants with funds for M&IE minus lunches at the GSA allowable M&IE rate for Los Alamos, NM. 75% of allowable M&IE rate shall be provided on travel days. C. Coordinate lunches - Contract with ARAMARK, an on-site catering company at LANL to provide lunches during the training activity. Beverages and lunches for 22 people need to be arranged and delivered every day that the course is running (June 2 - July 11). There will be no classes held on Friday, July 4. In addition, the course is scheduled to end at noon on July 11. On that day, ARAMARK may want to arrange for breakfast burritos during the morning beverage service, since there will be no lunch provided. The drop-off location for all beverages and meals is TA-35, Bldg. 2, Room B125. D. Coordinate interpretive support - The following three interpreters will provide the following support: 1. Stella Jing Jing Yao from China will interpret for a total of 6 weeks, i.e., from June 2-July 11. Stella's anticipated travel days are June 1, July 12 and July 13. Email address is crncanning@126.com. 3. Xingyan Li ("Linda") from China will interpret for a total of 4 weeks, i.e., from June 16-July 11. Linda's anticipated travel days are June 15, July 12 and July 13. Email address is lindaxingyanlee@gmail.com. All of the interpreters' costs will be covered under the resultant contract which includes labor, lodging, meals, and transportation expenses. Interpreters' rate is $950/day and $200 per hour for any overtime that may be needed.
