- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. The Air Force is seeking sources for a potential 100% set-aside for a service disabled veteran owned small business. Additionally, per 13 CFR 124.507(c)(2), firms must have an SBA-approved bona fide place of business within the identified geographical boundaries of the SBA district servicing offices within the state of Nevada to be eligible to submit offers for this requirement. The SBA district servicing office of the apparent successful Offeror will determine that firm's eligibility for award. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to obtain information on qualified and experienced contractors interested in providing proposals on a construction and repair project on Nellis AFB, Nevada. IF ADEQUATE RESPONSES ARE NOT RECEIVED FROM THE ABOVE-MENTIONED CONCERN, THE ACQUISITION MAY BE SOLICITED ON AN UNRESTRICTED BASIS. Work shall consist of furnishing all labor, supplies, materials, supervision, transportation, equipment, and any additional requirements to construct a 750 SF addition to a building, as well as repairing selected portions of the existing interior. The building is a single-story, metal framed facility approximately 2,900 SF in size. It is used as a dispatch point for fuel trucks servicing aircraft at Nellis AFB, and is located within the controlled flight line area. Work required includes construction of a 750 SF building addition that will serve as a large briefing/lounge area, construction of a new office in the existing briefing/lounge area, and renovation of portions of the existing building to include the restrooms and break room. The area shall be landscaped to match existing landscape. The estimated contract magnitude is between $500,000 - $1,000,000. Request interested firms respond to this notice and provide the following: (a) Firm's INFORMATION [name, address, phone number, CAGE code]; (b) Firm's INTEREST to qualify [e.g., prime contractor, teaming partner, joint venture, primary subcontractor]; (c) STATUS [e.g., 8(a) [including graduation date], HUBZone-certified small business, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned small business, small business, large business, etc.]; (d) CAPABILITY STATEMENT [Interested contractors must state whether they are able to provide a history of recent (3 years) construction experience relevant to the work described above.] (e) PERCENT OF WORK the firm must state whether they are capable of accomplishing a minimum of 50% of the construction/demolition tasks with in-house (not subcontracted) labor. Interested Contractors must provide the above information to the point of contact listed herein. Information submitted shall be in sufficient detail for a decision to be made based on the criteria previously mentioned. Reponses shall be limited to four (4) pages. This request for information (RFI) notice is issued for planning purposes. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). Responses to this notice will assist the Government in identifying potential sources and determining if a set-aside of the solicitation is appropriate. Once the determination has been made to either set-aside this acquisition or solicit on an unrestricted basis, it will be posted on this website. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract, issue a solicitation, or pay for any proposal preparation costs.
