Description

This document is the brand name justification for this requirement. This is a posting for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F3ZT934035AG01; this solicitation is a request for quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-72 effective 30 Jan 14, Defense DPN 20140421 effective 21 Apr 2014, and AFAC 2014-0421 effective 21 Apr 2014. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 336390. The business size standard is 750 employees. The Federal Supply Class (FSC) is 2540. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 5013. Travis AFB is in need of vehicle adapter amplifiers, which are required to mount radios in HMMV vehicles. This is a brand name or equal requirement for Harris Corporation Vehicular Adapter unit Assembly; part number 12053-0100-09. The National Stock Number (NSN) for this item is 5820-01-559-6055. This part is required for proper installation of radios within HMMV vehicles. CLIN 0001 Vehicle adapter amplifier; NSN 5820-01-559-6055 or equal. Quantity: 4 Each Freight (FOB Destination), must include standard warranty on all items. Please add shipping if applicable. Delivery to Travis AFB, CA 94535 Award shall be made in the aggregate, all or none. The following provisions and/or clauses apply to this acquisition. This does not require the Contractor to create or maintain any record that the Contractor does not maintain in the ordinary course of business or pursuant to a provision of law. (End of clause) AFFARS 5352.223-9000 Elimination of Use of Class I Ozone Depleting Substances (ODS) ELIMINATION OF USE OF CLASS I OZONE DEPLETING SUBSTANCES (ODS) (NOV 2012) (a) Contractors shall not: (1) Provide any service or product with any specification, standard, drawing, or other document that requires the use of a Class I ODS in the test, operation, or maintenance of any system, subsystem, item, component, or process; or (2) Provide any specification, standard, drawing, or other document that establishes a test, operation, or maintenance requirement that can only be met by use of a Class I ODS as part of this contract/order. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The existence of the ombudsman does not affect the authority of the program manager, contracting officer, or source selection official. Further, the ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals, the source selection process, or the adjudication of protests or formal contract disputes. The ombudsman may refer the interested party to another official who can resolve the concern. (b) Before consulting with an ombudsman, interested parties must first address their concerns, issues, disagreements, and/or recommendations to the contracting officer for resolution. Consulting an ombudsman does not alter or postpone the timelines for any other processes (e.g., agency level bid protests, GAO bid protests, requests for debriefings, employee-employer actions, contests of OMB Circular A-76 competition performance decisions).
