Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Boston Health Care System, Network Contracting Office 1, is seeking to award a firm fixed price contract for Firearm Ammunition found under NAICS code 332992. The ensuing RFQ, with BRAND NAME ONLY items, will be a total Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside. The VA Police Department at the Boston Health Care System is requesting BRAND NAME firearm and VA Police Regulations require a specific type of ammunition. Please read the attached RFQ and SOW carefully for the ammunition requested below, (20) Cases (500rds per case), Remington Arms Golden Saber 9mm 124 Grain Brass Jacketed Hollow Point Duty Ammunition) (140) Cases (500rds per case), Remington Arms 9mm 124 Grain Practice Ammunition. This BRAND NAME type of duty and practice ammunition is the mandated duty ammunition for the VA Police nationally for practice/training and semi-annual re-qualifications, as well as while VA Police Officers are on their scheduled tour of duty. Request for Quote VA241-14-Q-0418 is anticipated to be issued on or about 4/28/2014, and will contain all item specification per VA Police Regulations and the Statement of Work. This solicitation requires offferor's registration with the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to award, pursuant to applicable regulations and guidelines. Registration information can be found at www.sam.gov. It has been determined that sufficient competition exists among Veteran-Owned Small Businesses to Set Aside. Offeror's must be registered in VIP database (vetbiz.gov) as SDVOSB.
