T h is is a Re q ue st f o r I n f o r m a ti o n ( RFI) on ly and is not a request for quote or an invitation to bid, nor is it to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a formal solicitation or ultimately award a contract. This RFI will assist CBP in conducting market research of industry to identify sources that can meet CBP requirements. Information received will be used for internal CBP use only. Responses to this notice are voluntary and therefore the Government is not liable to pay or reimburse any individuals or companies that respond to this notice. Any costs incurred by interested companies are solely the responsibility of the contractor. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude a contractor from participating in a future RFP, if one is issued. It will also identify vendors capable of deploying, maintaining, enhancing and potentially re-engineering existing CBP technical solutions, developed under the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) and Land Border Integration (LBI) Programs. These systems serve to provide a more welcoming and secure environment for travelers and enable CBP officers and Border Patrol agents to do their jobs more safely, efficiently and effectively. As a re s u lt o f t h e RFI, CBP w i l l de t e r m ine the overall interest and capability of industry to support the CBP WHTI, LBI and related initiatives.
