Description

This sources sought notice is for market research purposes in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. It does not constitute a solicitation and is not to be considered as a commitment by the Government. All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request that will be considered for contract award. All interested parties will be required to respond to the resultant solicitation separately from their response to this sources sought. Firms interested in submitting their capabilities for this project must include the following information: (1) Company name, address, point of contact with phone number and e-mail address; (2) Business size determination and qualifying small business status; (3) Bonding capacity (from surety), also provide firms total bonding capacity (single and aggregate), current available bonding capacity, and expected available capacity for 2014 and 2015. Please limit responses to ten (10) pages. Project Description: The Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures and furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to perform work for the renovation of the existing superintendent's lodge (Bldg. 1001), relocation of the existing administration building (Bldg. 1002), repairs to existing roadways, repairs to perimeter stone walls, repairs to storm drain system, construction of an overpass, replacement of existing fencing, signage, and site furnishings, landscaping, irrigation, and site utilities as required by drawings and specifications. Submission Requirements: The Contractor capability statement shall include, but not be limited to: Corporate Experience: "Provide at least three projects in the past five years that demonstrate experience with National Cemetery construction experience; if no national cemetery experiences provide at least three projects similar to parks, golf courses, or private cemeteries that contains at a minimum renovation and/or relocation of historic buildings, overpass, roads, landscape and irrigation. The Capability Statement must include Experience in all the elements of construction below: I.Earth Work oThe earth work must have been performed in the past five years with projects involving earth work and grading for cemeteries, parks or site development projects of at least 10 acres. II.Overpass/Road and Storm Drain System Repairs oProjects of similar size and scope involving TXDOT road construction and repairs to storm drain systems. III.Landscaping oLandscaping projects involving planting and lawn installation for cemeteries, parks, golf courses or other similar sites of at least 10 acres. IV.Irrigation oThe irrigation system installation for cemetery, park or golf course sites of at least 10 acres. V.Renovation/Relocation of Historic Buildings oExperience must be in renovation and relocation (moving) of existing historic buildings with three completed projects. Experience in other Federal, State, local agencies, or non-government organization projects involving renovation and relocation of historic buildings may be considered. All responses to the sources sought must be submitted via email to the Contracting Officer, Elyse Kennedy at Elizabeth.Kennedy@va.gov, by May 13, 2014, 3:00 pm ET. At this time no solicitation exists, therefore, DO NOT REQUEST A SOLICITATION package.
