Description
This is a notice of intent to extend a sole source contract. The U.S. Army Contracting Command- APG Belvoir intends to extend on a basis of other than full and open competition, in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.301 (Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies and Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements), an existing requirement under contract number W15P7T-06-C-M209 with Raytheon Company, 2501 W. University Dr. McKinney, TX 75071-2813. Under the proposed action, the contractor shall continue to provide the Field Service Representatives (FSR) on site to support the Horizontal Technology integration (HTI)2nd Generation Forward Looking Infrared (2GF FLIR) program until the follow-on limited competition contract is awarded. A total of three (3) FSRs are being required; two (2) at Fort Hood, TX and one (1) at Lima Army Tank Plant, Lima, OH. The FSRs support the production and installation of 2GF Commander's Independent Thermal Viewers and Thermal Receiver Units onto the M1A3 Abrams Tank System Enhancement Package. The Period of Performance for this extension is six (6) months from 31 May 2014 to 31 October 2014. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals. However, all responsible sources may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. Responses shall be no longer than ten (10) pages and shall be in a Microsoft Word compatible format. The anticipated date of award to extend on a sole source basis is 30 May 2014. All responders must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration in accordance with FAR 52.204-7 and DFAR 252.204-7004. In addition, all offerors must complete the Certifications and Representations as set forth in FAR 52.212-3.
