- RFP 14-R-0103 The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, Point Mugu, CA, intends to negotiate and award a Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite-Quantity, Indefinite-Delivery contract using other-than-full-and-open competition procedures. Negotiations will be conducted with General Micro Systems, Inc. (GMS), 8358 Maple Pl., P.O. Box 3689, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730, in order to purchase the following Rugged General Purpose Processors (GPPs) and GPP components: - No more than 105 each of the S902R GPP (Part Number 97-2234-000); - No more than 145 each of the S905R GPP Part Number (97-2298-000); - No more than 145 each of the S902R GPP Drive Tray (Part Number 66-2174-100) - No more than 145 each of the S905R GPP Drive Tray (Part Number 66-2296-000) The anticipated ordering period during which the Government may issue delivery orders is five (5) years after the date of contract award. The anticipated award date is May 2014. In accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii), the proposed procurement will not be competed and is sole-source to GMS, Inc. GMS, Inc. is the sole designer, developer, and original equipment manufacturer of the aforementioned supplies. Procurement from any other source cannot be executed without a substantial duplication of cost to the Government. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
