Description

AV Water Cooled SCREW chiller Training This is a Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source, Firm Fixed Price contract to Daikin Learning Institute, located at P.O. Box 2510, Staunton, VA 22402-2510, in accordance with of FAR 6.302-1. This acquisition is for training of the Daikin Air & Water Cooled Screw Chiller in support of Marine Corps Base Quantico. The training includes :( 1) classroom instructions (2) demonstrations (3) hands-on exercises. The period of performance for this requirement is four (4) days. A determination has been made by the Government to use other than full and open competition for this acquisition. This sole source award to Daikin Learing Institute is being processed solely to allow the HVAC employees to have hands-on instruction with the actual equipment they are responsible for maintaining. Training will enable the employees to gain the expertise required to troubleshoot and / or repair without the need for constant contractor support, which will result in a monetary saving to the government. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement is based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
