- Statement of Work This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 and authorized by FAR Subpart 13.5, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This requirement is Total Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS Code for this synopsis/solicitation is 336120, Size Standard 1000 Employees. Solicitation/Purchase Request number F2K3AD4106A001 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This document incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-72 effective 29 April 2014. The Government contemplates an award of a firm-fixed price contract for the following: CLIN 0001: Fire Truck Maintenance < SEE ATTACHED STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW) > SPECIFICATIONS: The repair and overhaul of several major and minor components of a single high mileage Fire Truck which is regularly used on steep terrain. A reliable loaner apparatus must be provided. The contractor is to pick up the vehicle and transport it to their facility, perform the required maintenance, and return the vehicle to the customer. Contractor personnel must be ASE trained and certified in the overhaul of fire apparatus. The minimum acceptable level of experience must be two years of on-the-job training, one year of factory training, or any two-year combination with documentation of training available upon request. The contractor shall be familiar with NFPA 1912, 1901, 1911, local, state, and federal codes and standards that apply to the overhaul, installation, and operation of emergency fire apparatus. < SEE ATTACHED STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW) > FOB: DESTINATION Inspection and Acceptance: DESTINATION Desired Delivery Date: Not to exceed 150 days ARO In accordance with the FAR 13.106-1(a)(2) offerors are notified that award will be made on the basis that the offer conforms to the statement of work and represents the best value to the government. Warranty Terms Relevant past performance is defined as "work experience similar to the work in the Statement of Work". The offeror with the lowest price is not guaranteed to receive the award. In accordance with FAR 13.106(b)(1), offerors are notified that each may be required to provide documentation supporting the price, cost and/or cost realism supporting the quoted prices. Failure to furnish supporting documentation expressly requested and necessary for the agency to perform price, cost and/or cost realism analysis is grounds to reject the quote. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The existence of the ombudsman does not affect the authority of the program manager, contracting officer, or source selection official. Further, the ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals, the source selection process, or the adjudication of protests or formal contract disputes. The ombudsman may refer the party to another official who can resolve the concern.
