- Description
- The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) Philadelphia, PA intends to procure for Engineering and Support Services in support of various Navy Modernization Programs. This effort shall provide blue collar installation and associated technical services for upgrading Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E) systems and deploying technologies which improve availability, increase reliability, ship readiness, and decrease maintenance and workload requirements for machinery systems and components. The potential contract would primarily support small, minimally intrusive, turnkey equipment level modernization projects that are generally accomplished pier side at various homeports. This acquisition is being procured as an 8(a) small business set-aside. The procurement will be awarded on Best Value Tradeoff basis requiring the submission of a cost/price proposal, and a technical proposal. The NAICS classification for this acquisition is 336611. The government intends to award an Indefinite Quantity, Indefinite Delivery, Cost Plus Fixed Fee type contract. The level of effort for the performance of this contract is based upon an anticipated total estimated level of effort of 1,219,045 man-hours. Multiple awards are anticipated. The period of performance for this acquisition is anticipated to be sixty (60) months.
