Description
This Notice of Intent to Sole Source is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitations documents are available. Under Statutory Authority 41 U.S.C. 253(g), the Birmingham VA Medical Center intends to purchase services for Analysis of ChIP-sequencing DNA through the University of Alabama Birmingham "UAB" Heflin Center for Genomic Science on an other than full and open competition basis with UAB Genomics Core Facility, 1900 University Blvd, Birmingham, AL 35294. This requirement includes the three line items listed below: Line ItemDescription 0001WGX - SAMPLE PREP, REAGENTS, PROCESSING 12 EA 0002CHIP-SEQ ANALYSIS - SAMPLE PREP, REAGENTS, PROCESSING12 EA 0003CHIP-SEQ ANALYSIS - DATA ANALYSIS, EST 4 HOURS 4 HR This procurement is being conducted in accordance FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. Contract is firm fixed price and the NAICS Code is 541712. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitations documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements it must furnish information about its products and services, as well as references from other customers who are using these products and service, to the Contracting Officer within seven (7) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information must be sent to the Connie Ganier, Contracting Specialist, NCO 7, Birmingham, VA Medical Center via e-mail at connie.ganier@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the contracting specialist will proceed with the sole source procurement with UAB Genomics Core Facility.
