Description

I am conducting market research to determine if capability and interest exist in the commercial market to provide software and hardware maintenance for eight D-ATIS Tower Systems, which were manufactured and previously acquired from ARINC. The eight AMC sites currently operating the ARINC D-ATIS Tower Systems include: Dover Air Force Base (AFB); Fairchild AFB; Grand Forks AFB; McChord Field (Joint Base Lewis-McChord); McConnell AFB; McGuire AFB (Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst); Pope AFB (Ft Bragg) and Scott AFB. The contractor shall provide vocabulary/rules updates, spare Multiple Radio Interface Units (MRIU), hardware and broken part replacements within 48 hours of system failure and assistance in maintenance and troubleshooting the D-ATIS Tower Systems. The contractor shall monitor the D-ATIS Tower Systems to include daily review of systems conditions, assisting tower personnel with questions and troubleshooting of data link systems. This assistance will include taking trouble calls from towers and providing repairs. It is the Government intent to issue a sole source award for this requirement to only one source, ARINC Inc., under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 41 USC 253(c)(1). This is not a request for proposal, just verification of availability. Responses must be received by 08 May 2014, 12:00 PM CST.
