- Drawing 02-l602.3-22^13 Drawing 02-l602.3-22^12.3 Drawing 02-l602.3-22^2.3 Purchase Description Solicitation W912P5-14-T-0041 is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for two Speed Reducer Gearboxes. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), as supplemented with additional information in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, supervision, and quality control necessary to produce two High Speed Gear Boxes for Fort Loudoun Lock for the miter gate operating machinery. The gear boxes will replace the originals installed in 1942. Original Gearbox Information- Manufacturer: Foote Bros. Gear & Machine Corp. Serial Number: E97656A Type: 12-ND Ratio: 41 to 1 The contract resulting from this solicitation will contain two line items, CLIN 0001 for the Mark 22/12-2R gearbox; and CLIN 0002 for the Mark 22/12-2L gearbox per drawing #02-1602.3-22^12.3. The description and drawings for the gearboxes are attached to this notice separately. The description contains the delivery schedule and location. The NAICS Code for this acquisition is 333612, Speed Changer, Industrial High-Speed Drive and Gear Manufacturing. The SBA small business size standard for this NAICS Code is 500 employees. This is a Small Business Set-Aside. The following FAR clauses are incorporated by reference via 52.212-5: 52.209-10, 52.219-6, 52.219-28, 52.222-3, 52.222-19, 52.222-21, 52.212-26, 52.223-18, 52.225-13, and 52.232-33. Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be awarded a contract. The SAM registration process may be accessed at the following link: https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/#1 Offerors are expected to complete the Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items as part of the SAM registration process. If you have completed your annual representations and certifications electronically, but need to amend or update any of them for this acquisition; you must print provision 52.212-3, complete it manually, and submit with your offer. The provision at 52.212-2 Evaluation - Commercial Items applies to this acquisition, and subparagraph (a) of the provision is edited as follows: The significant evaluation factors for this acquisition are (1) technical capability of the item offered to meet the Government requirement; and (2) price; in descending order of importance. Department of Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS) clause 252.211-7003 Item Unique Identification and Valuation applies to this acquisition. There are no exceptions included in subparagraph (c)(i), and no items are added to subparagraph (c)(ii) of the clause. Offers are due by 19 May 2014, 11:00 AM CDT.
