- This is a Sources Sought Notice (VA261-14-R-0459) This Sources Sought Notice is to seek out Interested Vendors identified as Service Disabled Veteran Owned (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), all other Small Businesses and any Large Businesses interested in bidding on this requirement. If interested in bidding, vendors should notify the Contracting Officer by emailing Leala.Jew@va.gov by the due date indicated on this notice. Synopsis of Work: Sustainment and Maintenance of ESSENCETM Software for Palo Alto VAMC The Contractor shall furnish project management, software user support and training, and software sustainment/maintenance services including bug fixes identified by field users in support of Veterans Health Administration's ESSENCE, developed by John Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (JHAPL). The Contractor shall adhere to the requirements and tasks as written in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and provide such services from the Contractor's own premises (remotely). The Contractor shall utilize the Veterans Affair's established online tools for project management and tracking, IBM Rational Tools TM. Request a draft copy of the PWS from Leala.Jew@va.gov. The Specialty Item Number (SIN) is 132 34, which is identified as Maintenance of Software as a Service. The proposed NAICS code is 541511 and small business size is $25.5 million. The VA intends to award a 12 month Firm-Fixed Price Contract. Period of Performance will begin immediately after award of contract. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. Responses to this Notice should be emailed to Leala.Jew@va.gov no later than 4 PM, Pacific Standard Time, on Monday, May 12, 2014.
