Description
This is a subcontract opportunity for the Bamberg Job Corps Center Please submit a competitive bid for the scope of work listed below: Retain the services of a mechanical contractor to install two inline fans to aide exhaust ventilation for both ends of the Building 17. Each inline fan should be installed halfway through the ductwork and should be of equivalent CFM capacity as the power ventilators located on the roof. Provide power to the inline fan from the closest available panel with spare capacity. Provide all ductwork connections, electrical wiring, power connections, and controls in accordance to industry and local standards. Provide testing and balancing (TAB) services to verify appropriate exhaust rates in each restroom in accordance to in accordance to industry and local standards. Interlock the inline fan operation to operate at the same time as the power ventilators. The exhaust fans should operate in the morning between the hours 6:00 am and 11:00 am to allow proper removal of the moisture after students finish their morning routine. Verify proper operation of the power ventilator and inline fan timer controls and interlock operations. Undercut all toilet/shower room doors to provide a minimum of ½" net clearance for entry of makeup air. General Conditions: Contractor must be licensed and insured to perform this type of work. Contractor responsible for field measurements All work to be code compliant and installed in a professional and safe manner. No work may be started without the issuance of a Purchase Order. All changes must be approved by Purchasing Coordinator in advance. All contractors working at the Bamberg Job Corps Academy are required to sign in and out each day. Vehicles entering and exiting the center are subject to search. Work may be scheduled between the hours of 8:00am - 3:30pm, Monday-Friday. Bid proposal to include breakout of material, labor and mark-up and be valid for 90 days. There should be no un-necessary interaction between contractor and the Bamberg Job Corps Center students. Contractors must dress appropriately and visitor's badges must be worn. Tools and material must be secured at the end of each day. All contractors are subject to the Bamberg Job Corps Center rules and regulations for work at this site. The Bamberg Job Corps Center is a non-smoking facility
