Description

This is a PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE - The US Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center, Minneapolis, MN, hereinafter referred to as MVAHCS, located at One Veterans Drive, Minneapolis, MN 55417, has a need for contractual services of Interventional Cardiology services to provide on-call services to the MVAHCS. The NAICS code assigned to this procurement will be 621111 with a size standard of $10 million. The VA will award a firm, fixed-price, indefinite delivery indefinite quantity commercial services contract. Contract use will be limited to Minneapolis VA Health Care System only. The solicitation will contain requirements for a 12-month base year with four (4) 12-month options to renew. Service will begin September 1, 2014 through August 30, 2015 for the Base Year. The solicitation is scheduled to be issued on or about May 7, 2014 and will be issued via FedBizOpps Electronic Posting System at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The VISN 23 Minneapolis VA Health Care System (MVAHCS) has a need for contractual services of Interventional Cardiology services to provide on-call interventional cardiology services in order to provide quality clinical care to eligible beneficiaries at the MVAHCS. Services shall be provided as needed for Primary & Specialty Care Medicine Service Line at the MVAHCS. The contractor will provide the services of Board Certified/Board Eligible Interventional Cardiologist, with an academic appointment or eligible for an academic appointment to the University of Minnesota. Cardiologist must have at least three years of recent experience. The MVAHCS is an affiliated teaching center of the University of Minnesota which provides comprehensive patient primary, secondary and tertiary care. Supervision and education of residents and medical students are a consideration in this requirement.
