Description

Justification for sole source The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Midstates Area Procurement Office intends to issue a purchase order on a sole source basis to Thompson Reuters Markets LLC. Thompson Reuters Markets LLC is the only vendor able to provide detailed loan transaction information sufficient to support IRS requirements. The Government intends to solicit and award with one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This notice is neither a request for proposals nor a solicitation of offers. Any other interested organizations must submit a written statement of their capabilities and qualifications to fulfill this requirement to the identified point of contact as soon as possible, but not later than 12:00 noon (CST) on Monday, May 12, 2014. Faxed and e-mailed statements are acceptable, but the senders bear full responsibility to ensure complete transmission and timely receipt. All inquiries and concerns must be addressed in writing to facsimile number (972)308-1928 attn: Christopher Bartels or e-mail address christopher.bartels@irs.gov. Any such statement of capabilities and qualifications received by the deadline will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
