- Description
- Amendment 3 is issued to add to SP4706-14-SOC-HAZWOPER-DCSOE the following questions and answers: 1. The Statement of Work states that the training meets the requirements of OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120(a)(1)(i-v). The citation references training requirements for what is actually three different types of work/response modes. The course outlines blend two of those, 1910.120(b) - (o) and 1910.120(q). A: DLA Pacific- Okinawa need trainnig for the event of emergency spill response. So, the training should focus on 1910/120(q) requirements. 2. Is the intent to meet the requirements under 1910.120(b) - (o), which is for voluntary clean-up operations at sites recognized by Federal, state, local or other governmental bodies as uncontrolled hazardous waste sites (non-emergency) or 1910.120(q), which is for emergency response operations for releases of, or substantial threats of releases of, hazardous substances without regard to the location of the hazard? We believe the intent is for the training for Technician 1910.120(q)(6)(iii) because the term Technician is only referenced in 1910.120(q), but wish for clarification as we can provide both. A: DLA Pacific- Okinawa request both First Responder Awareness level (1910.120(q)(i) and Hazardous Materials Technician (1910.120(q)(iii) level. The awareness level will be for the majority of the students and the Haz Mat Tech training is intended for individuals who will be on DLA Energy Okinawa's Spill Response Team. 3. The Statement of Work states that an 8-hour First Responder Operations level training course be provided. The attached 8-hour course outline is for an 8-hour HAZWOPER refresher. Which one is correct? The course outline seems to be for a Technician refresher course. We have the ability to deliver both, but need clarification on which one is being requested. A: For the 8-hour training DLA Pacific- Okinawa request INITIAL First Responder Awareness level training. (1910.120(q)(6)(i) Amendment 2 is issued to clarify that the point of contact e-mail address is the same e-mail to submit the Statement of Capability (SOC). Therefore, submit the SOC to the e-mail address carlos.vidro-martinez@dla.mil.
