Description
This is a notice of the Government's intent to exercise the Option To Extend Services provision of the current Software, Networks, Information and Modeling & Simulation (SNIM) contracts (FA1500-10-D-0001 through - 0009) to extend the ordering period for up to six months. The Government will structure the option to exercise four months of extension and have two more one-month extensions available. The Federal Acquisition Regulation clause 52.217-8, Option To Extend Services, was included in the original solicitation and initial award. The intent is to extend the present ordering period of the Basic Contracts for up to six months from 1 June 2015 through 30 November 2015. This extension will permit the continuation of performance of the current SNIM contracts while the requirement is recompeted as the Cyber Security Technical Area Tasks (solicitation FA8075-14-R-0001), which is projected be awarded around 1 October 2015. The contracts are currently scheduled to expire 31 May 2015. Exercising these options will not increase the overall $2B ceiling value (amount of all orders that can be issued) of the SNIM contracts. The Government intends to negotiate with the nine incumbent contractors to cover the management reporting requirements of the basic contracts and estimates the total cumulative amount for all nine contracts to be approximately $23,000.00. SNIM is a non-commercial, Cost-Plus-Fix-Fee, multiple award contract vehicle that was awarded on a competitive basis to support the Information Analysis Center Program that is managed by the Defense Technical Information Center. Under individually competed, separately funded, orders SNIM performs large, complex, scientific and technical RDT&E and/or RDT&E related advisory and assistance service requirements that are within the SNIM focus areas of software data and analysis, networks, information assurance, modeling and simulation. This is neither a Request for Proposal nor a solicitation of offers. Companies with an expressed interest relative to this proposed extension can submit a response and/or information that demonstrates the capability to satisfy SNIM requirements to rebecca.robeson@us.af.mil. Information received by close of business 21 May 2014 will be considered by the Government solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive acquisition. A determination by the Government to compete or not compete this requirement based on responses received to this notice is solely within the Government's discretion.
