- Further detail concerning gas and ice quantities. SOURCES SOUGHT: The 48th Contracting Squadron, RAF Lakenheath, England is seeking sources to provide gas cylinder rentals, liquid oxygen tank refills, liquid nitrogen tank refills, as well as dry ice shipments to United States Air Force military installations located in the United Kingdom. When sending responses, please specify if your firm can provide "USP Oxygen." "USP" indicates the oxygen conforms to the requirements of the United States Pharmacopoeia or the United Kingdom Pharmacopeia for basic measures required for medical gas concentration, quality and purity. Any potential supplier shall be able to provide a Certificate of Purity documenting the liquid oxygen concentration for each container delivered. To meet current FDA requirements or European Pharmacopoeia Specifications, oxygen must have a potency (purity) of 99.0 percent by volume of oxygen to be labeled as a USP grade medical gas, regardless of what state it is in (e.g., compressed or liquid/bulk). BOC equipment is used by these US military installations to store the requested gases. Interested companies must be certified to refill and perform any work on existing tanks and equipment. Vendors who believe they can meet or exceed all of the requirements described in this notice and excel spreadsheet are requested to submit, in writing, appropriate documentation, literature, brochures, and other pertinent information to demonstrate that the stated requirements can be fulfilled. Responses must include the following: Name and address; Cage Code if presently SAM.gov registered. THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATION AND PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for information solicited. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. No solicitation currently exists; therefore, please do not request a copy of a solicitation. A formal solicitation is expected to be released in the month of July 2014, and will be made available on FedBizOpps. It is the responsibility of each interested party to monitor this site for the release of the solicitation or synopsis.
