Description
Point of Contact: Address administrative questions only to Maria Colville, Contract Specialist, (Maria.a.colville@usace.army.mil). Please do not ask any technical questions, as answers to technical questions are only available through an online system during the solicitation process. Seattle District requires maintenance clamshell dredging of approximately 65,000 cubic yards of sediment from the southern channel near Goat Island and Skagit Bay with placement at the Rosario Strait PSDDA Site. Work would begin in September 2014 and all in-water work would be completed by 15 February 2015. The magnitude of construction is $500,000 to $1 Million. The Contractor is to furnish all labor, equipment, supplies, materials, supervision and other items and services necessary to accomplish the work. Estimated Award Date of the Contract is late June or early July 2014 with a 15 February 2014 completion date. The solicitation will be issued as 100% Set-Aside for Small Business concerns. The primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Construction; with an applicable small business size standard of $25.5 million in annual gross receipts. Offers received from concerns that are not small businesses shall be considered nonresponsive and will be rejected. Offerors will be required to submit a price proposal. Award will be made in accordance with the procedures described in FAR 14.408. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), the solicitation will be available for download no earlier than 15 days following the posting of this synopsis. Pursuant to FAR, the response date of the solicitation is no earlier than 30 days from the date of the solicitation release date. The solicitation due date will be noted on the solicitation at the time of issue. There is no technical information available until the issue of the solicitation via the Internet. A contract award may or may not result from this solicitation. All costs associated with compiling proposals are at the contractor's own expense.
