- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY FOR THE PURPOSES OF CONDUCTING MARKET RESEARCH. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. The Mission Installation Contracting Command at Fort Gordon intends to solicit a contract for a Catholic Youth Pastor at Fort Gordon, GA. The primary type of work will be catholic youth ministry services under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 611699. The small business size standard for this NAICS is $10 million average annual revenue for the last three fiscal years. Scope of Work: The services to be provided consist of the development and implementation of religious programs for Catholic middle and high school youth in the Fort Gordon community, providing community wide youth Religious and ministry needs that Fort Gordon Unit Ministry Teams (UMT) and volunteers cannot provide. The Catholic Middle and High School Youth Coordinator shall articulate and develop promotional campaigns. Other activities include maintaining records of supplies, materials and attendance (to include youth and volunteers) for the major scope of work shall focus on programming. Developing and implementing activities for Fort Gordon's Catholic Youth of the Chapel (CYOC) will also be part of the installation religious support program. Provide oversight for post-wide youth ministry events that includes activities of the middle school youth along with the senior high school youth. The Contractor shall work flexible hours, in a part time capacity. All services must be performed by an adult of at least 21 years of age with verifiable moral character and spiritual maturity. Individual shall possess at minimum a two-year college degree and have at least two years of experience working with Catholic Youth in a Youth Ministry setting within a Catholic Parish. A Bachelor or Master Degree is preferred. Individual shall be a catechized Catholic Parishioner in good standing within local Parish possessing a reference letter from Parish Priest stating good standing in Parish. Must possess a valid Catechist Certificate issued by the Archdiocese for the Military Services. Applicants shall undergo a background check similar to that required of a childcare provider for U.S. Army Child Care Centers. The contractor shall be fully qualified to perform the required services without any supervision or direction by government personnel. Specific Tasks include the following:. Club meetings. The coordinator shall develop, coordinate and conduct weekly fellowship meetings for middle and senior high school youth.. Bible Studies. The coordinator shall conduct weekly Bible Studies meetings designed to develop personal or spiritual growth.. Meetings. The coordinator shall meet twice weekly to coordinate/schedule activities with the Fort Gordon Director of Religious Education and or the Installation Chaplain and submit monthly reports of significant activities, proposed events and youth group demographics.. Youth contact. The coordinator shall make monthly contacts with students during scheduled activities to enhance skills. Contacts each month shall include repeat contacts with students previously contacted and new contacts with students not contacted before.. Recruit. Recruit, and train adult volunteers of the Fort Gordon community to work with the community wide youth ministry program. The coordinator shall meet with adult volunteers at least monthly.. Retreats. The coordinator shall be required to conduct one retreat per year as approved by RSO. Retreat expenses will be funded by the RSO independent of this contract.. Activities. The coordinator shall provide two, day-long (8hrs) activities for fun, fellowship and sharing for youth per year as approved by RSO. Expenses related to these activities will be funded by the RSO independent of this contract.. Service project. The coordinator shall conduct one service project per year with youth Members (i.e.) food bank, etc. This shall be coordinated with and approved by the Installation, Chaplain. The service project is an outreach program to assist the less fortunate. 5.10. Publicity. The coordinator shall publicize all youth ministry events by publishing a monthly newsletter as needed and information will be made available at Fort Gordon Chapels. The RSO will provide computer access to create newsletter and printer for printing. Final copy of the newsletter will be submitted to the RSO for printing.. Family Fellowship. The coordinator shall conduct one fellowship event for youth and their families to build relationships and spiritual fitness yearly.. Referrals. The coordinator shall coordinate and make appropriate referrals to helping agencies when resource and counseling requirements are beyond the coordinator's experience.
