Description
This is an intended sole source announcement. Space and Naval Warfare Center Atlantic (SPAWAR Atlantic) intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order to BAE Systems to repair two Compact Low Frequency Active Transmit Subsystem (CLTS) Projector Elements (BAE Part Number: 8418540-1) under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This synopsis is posted for informational purposes only and is not a request for competitive offers. The equipment was produced by BAE and built specifically for the SURTASS program. The requested service is required to support a one of a kind Compact Low Frequency Transmit system installed on T-AGOS ships supporting Anti - submarine warfare efforts worldwide. BAE is the original manufacturer of the equipment and retains the special equipment to service these units and handle production and repair of the parts in a timely manner. No electronic or hard copy Request for Quote (RFQ) will be prepared or made available for distribution. This action will be conducted under FAR Part 12 and Far Part 13. NAICS is 334511. All vendors doing business with the Department of Defense must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to submitting invoices for payment. Information to register can be found at www.sam.gov. Invoices must be submitted electronically via Wide Area Workflow (WAWF). Information can be found at https://wawf.eb.mil. Vendor training is available on the internet at https://wawftraining.eb.mil. Quotes are due to the Contract Specialist, Victoria Franklin at victoria.franklin@navy.mil by 01:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, May 15, 2014. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All quotes must include your DUNS number, Cage Code, Tax ID, shipping charge (if applicable) and delivery lead time (if applicable) after award of contract on your quote. Delivery address is provided on the attached Request For Quote (RFQ)/Not To Exceed Memorandum.
