Description
COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION NOTICE FOR THE EAST PARSONS MECHANICAL PILING The Bureau of Land Management, Colorado State Office, is soliciting for the East Parsons Mechanical Piling Description of Work: The two objectives of this project are to mechanical pile slash left from previous logging operations, and remove chip piles in the Independence Mountain Area. There is an estimated total of 93 acres split into four units and four chip piles. All units are similar in amount of slash to be piled, slope, and size of completed piles. The objective of the mechanically piling is; 70-100 percent of the logging slash that is currently on the ground and leaving approximately 300 linear feet of logs per acre (approximately six, 6" DBH (or greater) by 40-50 feet long). Piles sizes would be no smaller than 10' tall X 10' wide X 10' long and no larger than 30' tall x 20' wide x 100' long if built with a rake blade no dirt and or 20' tall x 15' wide 200'long if a blade with dirt is used. The objective of the chip piling is to; removed the chips piles from the site. The piles would need to have no more than two inches of material left to be considered removed. Location: Township 11 north Range 81W Section 24 Jackson County Colorado center of all units. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 115310, with a standard size of $17.5 million.
