Description
This action is to announce the upcoming solicitation of a requirement to provide customer relations training to DLA Disposition Services Sites: Jacksonville, FL, Mechanicsburg, PA, Jacksonville or Havelock, NC, Fort Walton Beach (Eglin AFB), FL, Fayetteville, NC, Fort Mead, MD, and Norfolk, VA. The proposed contract will be for a 12-month base period without options, with specific service requirements to be covered in the solicitation. The procurement is 100% set-aside for Women Owned Small Business concerns under NAICS 611430, which has a size standard of $10,000,000.00. The resultant contract shall be a single award, firm-fixed price contract. Specific methods of delivering training shall be proposed by the contractor. The objectives to be reached, as reflected in existing measurement tools as well as the contractor's methods under this action, include, but are not limited to, the following: 1. Understanding what Customer Service Means 2. The Dos and Don'ts of Customer Service 3. First Impressions 4. Communicating with the Unsatisfied Customer 5. Solving the Customer's Problems 6. Customer follow-up 7. Customer Service Traits 8. How to Separate Internal Issues from the Customer's Issues. 9. When and why to use the various communication methods with customers 10. Reducing defensiveness and close-minded thinking 11. Correctly evaluating familiar and unfamiliar situations Training will be divided into two categories: 1. Training for Leadership, and 2. Training for Field Staff Training for Leadership shall be held in Jacksonville, FL, the second week in September 2014 and will have approximately 35 attendees. Training shall last a minimum of 8 hours but not exceed 16 hours. Training for Field Staff will be held at various locations including: 1. Mechanicsburg, PA 2. Jacksonville, NC or Havelock, NC 3. Fort Walton Beach, FL 4. Jacksonville, FL 5. Fayetteville, NC 6. Fort Meade, MD 6. Norfolk, VA The number of personnel requiring training per site will range from 20 people to 80 people. Training for field staff should not exceed 8 hours. The delivery of all services and materials, including any final assessments to measure outcomes, must be completed within 12 months of contract award. The solicitation will be posted on or about May 9, 2014, with instructions as to what those interested must submit to be considered for contract award. Questions concerning this action will be invited when the solicitation is posted.
