Description

This contract is a Sole Source Firm Fixed Priced Contract with Life Technologies for a Base Year and 4 (1YR) Option Periods for Preventative Maintenance. 1) The PM will be done by technicians trained by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). 2) The PM will be scheduled with Biomedical or service line personnel. 3) The PM will be scheduled during normal government business days/hours unless other arrangements are made with Biomedical or service line personnel. 4) All travel and labor costs are included. 5) All testing material and certified equipment will be provided by the contractor. The total cost for this procurement action is $39,956.92. Life Technologies will provide a Preventative Maintenance and Service Repair for ION Proton Sequencer Serial # 2456198-0159 and Ion One Touch 2.0 System Serial # 2456197-0217 IAW FAR: 6.302-1: Sole Source Only One Responsible Source (FAR 6.302-1) - Radiometer America, the original equipment manufacturer, is best suited for the service needed because of their experience and knowledge with servicing Blood Gas analyzing equipment. They are uniquely and solely qualified to perform this service. This equipment is proprietary to Radiometer America. Radiometer America has intimate knowledge of this unit and has a history with our Blood Gas equipment. They manufactured it, installed it, and have maintained it.
