Description
1. Short-term lease of -eight (8) Multi-pax Vans, 4x2, Diesel operated, automatic transmission, if available, must be equipped with all weather tires, including unlimited mileage, full insurance coverage (incl. Euro 800.00 self retainment) all maintenance, delivery and removal of vehicles. Rental period: 16 May 2014 through 04 June 2014, Deliver Vehicles on: 16 May 2014 prior to 1400 hrs, Pick-up vehicle on: 04 June 2014 after 1500 hrs. Vehicle must be delivered with a full tank and picked up from: 405th AFSB LRC Hohenfels, Transportation Motor pool (TMP) Hohenfels, Bldg # 9A, Camp Nainhof, 92366 Hohenfels. Point of contact is: Mr. Georg Braun, Tel: 09472-83-2209, FAX: 09472-83-4717. Vehicles returned to the contractor will also have a full tank. The Government personnel assigned as drivers to the rented vehicle will be responsible for keeping the vehicle in orderly condition and turn-in for service and maintenance in accordance with the maintenance manual furnished by the contractor. In case of operational malfunction or accident (Germany wide) the contractor shall be notified immediately, who will furnish a replacement vehicle within 24 hours from notification. The replacement vehicle must be brought to the place of breakdown/accident or as requested by TMP. Vehicles will be operated by qualified Government personnel from OPSGRP, JMRC in support of rotation 14-04, CR II. Vehicle Rental Delivery and Return process - Delivery to the Government - the Government representative and the Contractor representative will individually inspect each vehicle provided under thi s contract for any defects or damages. The condition of the vehicle will be noted on a Delivery Inspection Form. The contract number and the vehicle license number must be shown on the Delivery Inspection Form. The agreed upon condition of the vehicle will be si gned off on the form by both of the representatives. Return to the Contractor - the Government representative and the Contractor representative will individually inspect each vehicle upon return to the Contractor. The condition of the vehicle will be compared to its initial condition as indicated on the original Delivery Inspection Form used to initially inspect the vehicle. Excluding normal wear from the usage of the vehicle as intended under the contract, if there is no damage it will be noted on the original Delivery Inspection Form and signed by both representatives. If there is any damage to the vehicle it will be noted on the original Delivery Inspection Form and the contractor will indicate if it intends to file a claim under the contract for the damage.
