Description

This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT to procure the following service: Comprehensive service plan for PerkinElmer Health Sciences Inc. equipment: GAS CHROMATOGRAPH Serial Number (650N4120604) MASS SPECTROMETER Serial Number (651N4120803) The period of performance is 1 year starting 1 June 2014 with four additional option years. Service and maintenance will be performed at NAS Jacksonville, FL. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source contract to PerkinElmer Health Sciences Inc., 710 Bridgeport Avenue, Shelton, CT, 06484-4750. PerkinElmer Health Sciences Inc. is the sole manufacture of the instruments, and is the only contractor capable of providing the support and software upgrades on this proprietary equipment. The associated NAICS is 811219 and the size standard is $19 MIL. Posting date of this requirement is 12 May, 2014. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 9:00 AM EST, 15 May 2014. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. This award is being made by NAVSUP FLC Jacksonville. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE OR A SOLICITATION OF OFFERS.
