- This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This notice is being issued as Request for Quotations (RFQ) for; FORTUS 250mc SYSTEM PRINTER Technical Specifications for 3D Printer/SOW 3D printer required to complete design work for the MAHRS microscope. 3-dimensional modeler compatible with our existing software, office layout and current ABS build supplies in inventory. It must automatically import and handle.stl files to generate the necessary tool paths and support structure. The following list of the minimal specifications: SYSTEM SPECIFICATIONS FOR 3D OFFICE MODELER - Build Size; 254 x 254 x 305 mm (10 x 10 x 12 in) or better Material; Parts are built of tough, durable ABS plastic Vendor Support; Vendor must install system and provide adequate training and annual maintenance for the unit. Layer Thickness; As a minimum the system shall have user selectable layer thicknesses with the following resolution or better: "Fine" (.178 mm/.007 in). "Standard" (.245 mm/.010 in). "Draft" (.33 mm/.013 in). Automatic Operation; Software automatically imports and slices.stl files, orients the part, generates support structures (if necessary), and creates the deposition path to build parts. Network Connectivity; TCP/IP 100/10 base T Workstation Compatibility; Windows 7 Support Structures; Support structures are automatically created within software. Support system allows easy support removal with water soluble material. Insight Software. Functionality; Multiple parts may be packed within the build envelope to maximize build efficiency. Software provides queue management capabilities, build time, material status and other machine status information. Size; Must fit on 3x4 foot table (to fit our office space) Power Requirements; 110-120 VAC, 60 Hz, 15A max Regulatory Compliance; CE Special Facility Requirements;None. Can operate in office environment with no special safety/health requirements (just like other computer peripherals such as printers and plotters). Machine stand with storage Trade in Stratasys trade in Promo (show % of reduction in the unit cost with trade in) Start up Kit. The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 2005-73. http://nais.nasa.gov/far/. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. The NAICS Code and the small business size standard for this procurement are 423430 / 500 respectively. The offeror shall state in their offer their size status for this procurement. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. Delivery to NASA GLENN RESEACH Center, 21000 Brookpark Road, Cleveland Ohio 44135 is required. Delivery shall be FOB Destination. All contractual and technical questions must be in writing (e-mail) to De Viancourt not later than Thursday, May 15th, 2014, (5-14-14). Telephone questions will not be accepted. Offers for the items(s) described above are due by Tuesday, MAY 20TH, 2014 (5-20-2014) to PROCUREMENT; NASA Glenn Research Center, De Viancourt, and must include, solicitation number, FOB destination to this Center, proposed delivery schedule, discount/payment terms, warranty duration (if applicable), taxpayer identification number (TIN), identification of any special commercial terms, and be signed by an authorized company representative.
