Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Patuxent River, MD intends to negotiate and award a sole-source Delivery Order under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-11-G-0001 to The Boeing Company, 6200 J S McDonnell Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63134-1939 for coordination, planning, corrective action estimation, scheduling cataloging, and repair support of the Advanced Capability Mission Computer (ACMC) and Type 4i Engineering Manufacturing Development asset failures for the F/A-18E/F and EA-18G platforms. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole-source basis under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1, "only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." The Boeing Company is the Original Equipment Manufacturer and is the sole designer, manufacturer, and supplier of the F/A-18 and EA-18G aircraft and its systems. As such, Boeing is the only contractor that has the requisite knowledge, experience, and technical data to perform the above tasks to support the ACMC requirement. Companies interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact Boeing directly. This synopsis is not a Request for Proposals. The Government does not intend to fund the development or qualification of other sources for fulfilling this requirement. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which shall be considered by the agency.
