- The Mission Contracting Office, Fort Hood, Texas intends to award a firm fixed price sole-source contract to GBS Corp, a large business, 7101 Executive Center Drive, Suite 123, Brentwood, Tennessee, 37027, a large business, this procurement is for software and equipment to provide each patient with a unique identification code and bracelet upon in support of the Carl R. Darnell Army Medical Center (CRDAMC). This software and equipment will improve patient tracking and patient safety in regards to administration of medications while simultaneously allowing CRDAMC to eliminate the use of blue plastic cards and embossing machines. It also helps meet Joint Commission Patient Safety Goals with multiple computers confirmed identifiers. Clinicians will be able to print identification labels for specimens in the presence of the patient while eliminating the need for a costly wireless infrastructure. This system includes remote administrative use of the system from the local facilities intranet, barcode verification from a mobile device, label printing from a mobile device, ability to print patient labels and wristbands on-demand, patient admission labels and wristbands automatically, patient demographics on wristbands to eliminate errors upon admin, printing during CHCS downtime, charging stations, dual processors, bar-coded labels, wristbands, and ID cards, forms automation with data merge, Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JCAHO) patient safety goals, multiple computer confirmed identifiers, add-on module to capture a patient's photo with web-cam hardware, seamless integration of user updates with Windows Active Directory, enhanced security measures, and web based user interface and administration system. The delivery for this supply procurement is 30 days after receipt of order. The Contracting Officer has determined that the Contracting Officer has determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available due to only one responsible source and no other supply will satisfy agency requirements (Proprietary Rights). The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 511210, Software Publishers. The size standard for this NAICS code is $35.5 million.
