Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Technology Acquisition Center (TAC), located at 23 Christopher Way, Eatontown, New Jersey 07724 intends to enter into a contract on the basis of Other Than Full and Open Competition for a PointAudit Enterprise Auditor Subscription from PointSecure Technologies, Inc. to support the Department of Veterans Affairs National Security Operations Center Compliance Scanning Service. The TAC intends to award a sole source, 12-month Firm-Fixed-Price contract with two 12-month option periods to PointSecure Technologies, Inc., 802 Lovett Boulevard, Houston, Texas 77006, pursuant to authority 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a) entitled, "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements." The proposed solicitation number for this effort is VA118-14-Q-0250. There is no place of performance for this acquisition as this is a procurement of software licenses. This acquisition will enable VA to assess and report on the security configurations of its Open Virtual Memory System. This information will be provided to system owners and developers for remediation to ensure systems and VA data are properly secured. The applicable North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 511210 with a corresponding small business size standard of $35.5M. The estimated date of award for this action is June 4, 2014. This notification shall close on May 20, 2014. This is a notification of intent, not a request for proposals.
