Description
THIS SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY AND IS NOT TO BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT FOR PROPOSAL AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. This sources sought is issued for the purposes of Market Research and to determine the appropriate Small Business Sourcing Strategy for this acquisition, if any. Under the North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) 541511, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 23, has a requirement for a Microbiology Interface for the Clinical Information System (CIS) provided by Philips. The requirements are to provide project management and technical consulting needed to add the Microbiology Interface to the existing Philips CIS (ICCA), work with the VA to determine the microbiology parameters that shall be interfaced to the CIS and enable CIS to receive properly formatted messages from the VistA Laboratory Information System. The CIS HL7 interface shall be configured to receive the incoming lab messages and route them to the appropriate CIS application. They shall assist the VA with developing an acceptance test plan and work together with the VA to verify the operation of the interface. NAICS Code and Title: 541511, Custom software. Small Business Size Standard: $25.5 Million All applicable small businesses, with a firm intention to bid on this requirement, are encouraged to respond. The statement of capabilities should include: 1.Firm name, address, e-mail, telephone and fax numbers 2.Business size standard as indicated in SAM. 3.Past Experience - describe your experience of similar type, size and complexity to that which is the subject of this Sources Sought. 4.Your firms Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) 5.System for Award Management (SAM) registered NAICS Codes. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice can be either Mailed to: Department of Veterans Affairs, Fargo VA HCS, Contracting Office (attn: Chris Volk), 2101 Elm Street, Fargo, ND 58102, or sent via email to Christopher.Volk@va.gov. All responses must be received no later than May 22, 2014. If response is sent via email, vendor is responsible to confirm receipt as server limitations can restrict delivery of large files.
