- Description
- The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) has a requirement for the United States Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense(USAMRICD) for custom synthesis of peptides. This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC)2001-27. This requirement is restricted to Small Businesses. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 325199 with a size standard of 1,000 people. This code shall be listed in System for Award Management (SAM.gov) prior to award. The following are the Minimum Essential Characteristics (MECS) for the requirement: Required for the custom synthesis of peptide molecules for botulinum neurotoxin inhibitor experiments using a FRET based reporter assay Peptide 1: DAB4(C)-RWTKCL-NH2 (S-S bond), 25mg Peptide 2: SNAP25[ac187-203ca]: Ac-SNKTRIDEANQRATKML-NH2, 25mg Peptide 3: DAB(C)-RWTKC-amide [S-S], 10mg Peptide 4: DAB(C)-WWTKCL-amide [S-S], 10mg Peptide 5: DAB(C)-RRTKCL-amide [S-S], 10mg Peptide 6: DAB(C)-RWPKCL-amide [S-S], 10mg Peptide 7: DAB(C)-RWVKCL-amide [S-S], 10mg Peptide 8: DAB(C)-RWIKCL-amide [S-S], 10mg Peptide 9: DAB(C)-RWAKCL-amide [S-S], 10mg Peptide 10: DAB(C)-RWSKCL-amide [S-S], 10mg Peptide 11: DAB(a)-RWTK-(a)-L [linear], 10 mg Peptide 12: DAB(A)-RWTAL-amide [linear], 10mg Peptide 13: DAB(a)-RWTaL-amide [stapled], 25mg Peptide 14: DAB(a)-RWTaL-amide [linear], 25mg Peptide 15: DAB(homoC)-RWTK(homoC)L-amide[S-S], 25 mg Peptide 16: DAB(homoC)-RWTKCL-amide[S-S], 25mg Peptide 17: DAB(C)-RWTK(homoC)L-amide[S-S], 25mg Must have the DAB (2, 4-diaminobutanoic acid) construct in the peptide sequence (except for Ac-SNKTRIDEANQRATKML-NH2). DAB(C) is a cysteine attached to side chain of DAB. DAB(A) is an alanine attached to side chain of DAB homoC is a homocysteine [S-S] is an intramolecular disulfide bond Peptide 11 contains (a) = S-(2)-propenyl alanine. Must use Fmoc-(s)-2-(2- prpenyl)-Ala-OH as starting material for synthesis of peptide 11. Peptide 13 is a stapled peptide: DAB(a) = staple (e.g., 2-(4'-pentenyl)alanine), attached to side chain of DAB; (a) = same staple between T and L. Cyclization should be achieved by olefin metathesis. Peptide 14 contains the same staple as peptide 12, but without cyclization. Peptide 1 has a DAB4 = 2, 4-diaminobutanoic acid. The cysteine is attached to the side chain of DAB4 and the remaining linear sequence is cyclized via the two cysteine residues. DAB4(C): the Cys will be connected to the side chain (4th position of NH2), while DAB(C) means the Cys is connected to main chain NH2 of DAB (2nd position NH2). All peptides must have N-terminal amine and C-terminal amide. Must have purity by HPLC of no less than 90%. Must have a lead time of 4-5 weeks from receipt to delivery. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered by the agency. The competitive solicitation, solicitation amendments and all questions and answers relating to this procurement shall be made available via the Internet at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/ or https://www.fedbizopps.gov. The solicitation is anticipated for release to the vendor community on or about May 14, 2014, and will only be available until May 20, 2014. Specifications of the requirement are provided in solicitation: W81XWH-14-T-0231. Potential offerors are responsible for accessing the website. Interested parties must respond to the solicitation in order to be considered for award of any resultant contract. To be eligible for an award, offerors SHALL be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM.gov) and have completed its representations and certification completed via SAM.gov. Contractors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements via www.SAM.gov. All questions should be addressed in writing to Jennifer Hayden, Contract Specialist at jennifer.e.hayden.civ@mail.mil. No questions will be accepted after 4:00pm EST May 15, 2014. All interested parties shall provide their quote to Jennifer Hayden at jennifer.e.hayden.civ@mail.mil by 2:00 p.m. EST on May 20, 2014 in order to be considered for this solicitation.
