- Federal Business Opportunities Information Date: 2014 May 15 SOLICITATION NO. W9128F-14-B-0022 On or about 30 May 2014, this office will issue Invitations for Bid for construction of the Spillway Channel Wall W151L Replacement and Slab Repairs (MSC 227A), Fort Peck Dam, MT. The solicitation will close on or about 30 June 2014. This solicitation is RESTRICTED TO SMALL BUSINESS PARTICIPATION. A tentative site visit date/time will be issued with the advertisement solicitation. DO NOT submit requests for plans and specifications to the site visit personnel listed above. See 'Obtaining Solicitation Documents' below. _______________________________________________________________________________ Project Description: (Approx. quantities) This project includes removal and replacement of a 20' section of channel wall and a parapet with approximately 125cy of concrete at a 1:1 slope at Fort Peck Dam, MT. The contractor will be required to replace dowels and damaged waterstops within the joints. The wall channel has keys, bent rebar shapes, and various concrete shapes which will add difficulty to placing new concrete. This project also includes optional work for various spall repairs throughout the length of the spillway slabs and channel wall. Optional spall repair work has an approximate surface area of 3400 square feet. The spall repairs require a minimum of a 6 inch deep repair. The estimated construction cost of this project is between$1,000,000 and $2,500,000. _______________________________________________________________________________ The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 180 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bonding documents including the power of attorney shall bear an original signature by an officer of the surety. Representations and certifications are required to be updated annually as a minimum to keep information current, accurate and complete.
