- FOR MORE INFORMATION PLEASE CONTACT: Ira Weiner, 443-395-6907 ira.weiner@us.army.mil The purpose of this market survey is to identify sources that can provide/manufacture and deliver UHF AN/GRC-245 (V6) HCLOS radios, manufactured by Ultra TCS or UHF RL532 radios, manufactured by Kongsberg. The AN/GRC-245 V6 and the RL532 are compatible with Kuwait's architecture and are the only two radios qualified for use in a PATRIOT IP based communications architecture. The AN/GRC-245 (V6) HCLOS radio provides full-duplex operation in Band 1 (225 to 400 MHz), Band 3+ (1350 to 2690 MHz) and Band 4 (4400 to 5000 MHz). The radio consists of a baseband unit (BBU) containing the modem and power supply, a dual-band (Band 1 & 3+) RF unit (RFU) and/or a Band 4 RF unit. The Band 1/3+ RFU can be configured to provide a single band capability if required. The radio supports full-duplex digital traffic at up to 34 Mbps, and is suitable for passing Serial and IP traffic. ECCM features include full band Automatic Frequency Control (AFC), Adaptive Power Control (APC), error correction and a hidden framing scheme. Embedded AES 256 bit encryption is optional. The RL532 is a Tactical LOS Radio Link. It operates in the full Band III (1350-2790 MHz). It can be connected to IP systems as well as legacy TDM systems. Its throughput is up to 34 Mbps full duplex. RL532 supports Frequency Hopping and other ECCM features. The radio can include embedded AES256 encryption. The government does not have any drawings/specifications for this item. Suppliers capable of furnishing this system must so indicate, via email to ira.weiner@us.army.mil. The United States Army CECOM LCMC is conducting this sources sought market survey to determine price and availability from potential sources capable of fulfilling a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) requirement.
