- F&V Preliminary List of Items F&V MR Questionnaire THIS IS A SMALL BUSINESS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. This is NOT a request for offers, proposals, quotations or invitations for bids or proposals. This notice does not represent a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or award a contract. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the Government is not obligated to and will not pay for information received as a result of this announcement. A request for a solicitation will not receive a response. The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support, Strategic Material Sourcing Group, is conducting a sources sought to identify qualified small business manufacturers or processors and obtain information regarding: (1) the availability and capability of qualified small business sources; (2) whether they are Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Veteran-Owned, Small Business, HUB Zone 8(a), Women-Owned, or small disadvantaged business concerns; and (3) their size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition. Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method including whether a set-aside is possible. An organization that is not considered a small business under the applicable NAICS code should not submit a response to this notice. This notice seeks only those small business sources under North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) codes 311411 Frozen Fruits and Vegetables Manufacturing and 311421 Fruits and Vegetables Canning. The corresponding small business size standard for each of the NAICS codes is 500 employees. If you are an interested small business firm, please complete the required information found in the following Word and Excel attachments : F&V Market Research Questionnaire and MRQ Preliminary List of Items. All information submitted is subject to verification. Additional information may be requested to substantiate responses. In any Joint Venture or teaming arrangement the Lead Contractual firm must qualify as a Small Business in accordance with NAICS codes 311411 and 311421 in order to be considered under this Sources Sought Notice. All respondents are reminded that small business concerns must perform at least 50% percent of the cost of manufacturing the supplies, not including the cost of materials in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations clause 52.219-14(c)(2) - Limitations on Subcontracting. Interested firms should submit the requested documentation and responses requested to Zoraya Wilson, Contract Specialist, via email only at Zoraya.Wilson@dla.mil. The DUE DATE for responses is Wednesday May 21, 2014 by 3:00 PM Eastern Standard Time.
