Description
DLA Distribution intends to issue Request for Proposal (RFP) SP330014R0020 for a recurring requirement for refrigerant gel packs 24 oz. and 48 oz. in size to support DLA Distribution's Cold Chain Packaging Program. The Cold Chain Packaging Program is designed to keep chilled pharmaceuticals at the appropriate temperature during transportation to several DLA customers both CONUS and OCONUS. This requirement will be limited to small business concerns only. The NAICS code and Size Standard are 312113 and 500 employees. The resulting solicitation and award will be conducted using the policies and procedures in FAR part 12, Solicitation Provisions and Contract Clauses for the Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR part 15, Contracting by Negotiation. The Government intends to award an Indefinite Delivery Requirements contract to the offeror proposing the lowest price, that is technically acceptable and whose past performance, currency and relevancy considered, indicates their ability to perform the contract successfully. The period of performance for the resultant contract will include a base year and four 12 month option periods. It is the Government's intent to award without discussions, therefore, each initial offer should contain the offeror's best terms from a price and technical standpoint. However, the Government reserves the right to conduct discussions if determined necessary by the contracting officer. It is anticipated that RFP SP330014R0020 will be posted to this site during the week of 2 June 2014. Amendments to the Request for Proposal will also be posted to this site. Prospective offerors are cautioned concerning their responsibility to access the website for any amendments that may be issued under the solicitation. There will be no advance notification of amendment issuance. NOTE: All offerors MUST be registered in the System for Award Management IAW FAR 4.1102 at www.sam.gov or an award cannot be processed.
