- Synopsis: Purpose of this acquisition is to establish a firm fixed price Requirements type contract for NSN 3655-01-109-8237RN, Part Number 4627-2, Recharging Unit. Item is used to recharge the Halon reservoir which mounts aboard the F-16 Aircraft. The Halon Recharging Station consists of four-wheel (steel casters) base assembly, an enclosure, and a cylinder inverter which serves as a mobile recharging unit. Requirement is for a Best Estimated Quantity (BEQ) of 5 each in the basic year and a BEQ of 6 Each for Options I through IV and BEQ of 7 for Option V. Option I is valid for 365 days from date of award of basic contract; Option II is valid for 730 days from date of award of basic contract; Option III is valid for 1095 days from date of award of basic contract; Option IV is valid for 1460 days from date of award of basic contract, and Option V is valid for 1825 days from date of award of basic contract. Place of delivery is to be determined (TBD) at time of award of individual order(s). Delivery (basic and options) is required 210 Calendar Days ARO Individual Order. Options may be exercised for AF (Air Force) or FMS (Foreign Military Sales) requirements. Assets will be shipped FOB origin. Offerors shall prepare their proposals in accordance with mandatory, explicit, and detailed instructions contained in the RFP. Proposals will be evaluated and award made in accordance with the evaluation criteria stated in the RFP. The approximate RFP issue date will be 30 May 2014; proposals are due 30 Jun 2014. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation at https://www.fbo.gov/ only. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL BE HONORED, and no hard copies will be mailed out. The technical data required to respond to the RFP may be obtained at the FBO website. All questions regarding the RFP must be submitted in writing to wendy.courtney@us.af.mil with a copy to kathryn.canady@us.af.mil. NO TELEPHONIC QUESTIONS. All questions and answers will be uploaded to FBO. However, the identity of the potential offeror will not be included. Offerors are encouraged to register to receive notification for solicitation and all amendments/revisions and to check the FBO site prior to submission of proposal. Anticipated award date is 31 Jul 2014.
