Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Olympus America Inc. to purchase three (3) BF H190 EVIS EXERA III HD Diagnostic Video Bronchoscopes with Insertion Tube Rotary Function, one (1) CV - 190 EVIS EXERA III Video Processor, one (1) CLV - 190 EVIS EXERA III Light Source, one (1) LMD - 2451MD/HD 24' FLT Screen Sony HD Monitor, one (1) 55556L12-1 12'BNC Cable, one (1) K10021764 WM - NP2 Workstation GI Standard Set and one (1) MAJ - 1643 Lockable Drawer Unit WM - P2. These Scopes and associated items are being purchased for the Dayton VA Medical Center. The requested Scopes must be compatible with our existing Olympus Laparoscopes, Colonoscopes and Sigmoidoscopes. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 339112. The Government believes that Olympus America Inc. is the only provider that can satisfy the agency requirements. Therefore, the Government intends to proceed with a sole source for the required Scopes. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302 - only one responsible source and no other vendor will satisfy the agency requirements. To the best of our knowledge, Olympus America Inc. is the only source that provides the above indicated supplies. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available; however, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within ten (10) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information can be sent to the Contracting Officer-Gina P. Crank, VA Ambulatory Care Center, 420 N. James Road, Columbus, Ohio 43219-1834 or faxed to 614.388.7500. Responses received will be evaluated however a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Dayton VA Medical Center Dayton Ohio will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Olympus America Inc.
