Description

PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The Office of Acquisition Logistics, National Acquisition Center, Business Resource Service, solicits at this time for services for a Firm Fixed Priced, Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) for small construction projects at the Service Distribution Center, located at 1st Avenue, One Block North of 22nd Street/Cermak, Hines, IL is hereby issued. This solicitation is a 100% Set-Aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). All qualified SDVOSB offers/firms who believe they can satisfy the solicitation requirements are invited and encouraged to provide their bid. An Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued for a Firm Fixed Priced, Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for small construction projects, for a base period of one year, with two one-year options to extend. VA will issue individual task orders against this contract and contractor shall provide all tools, materials, labor and qualified supervision to complete the projects. Work will include but not be limited to general construction, alterations, renovations, mechanical, plumbing, electrical work, HVAC systems/steam heat, carpentry, utility systems, security systems, fire protection, roof repair, locksmith, road/parking lot repair and asbestos abatement. Individual task orders will be between $2,000.00 and $250,000.00. The contract range is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 236220; size standard $33.5 million applies. The solicitation documents will be issued on or about June 19, 2014 with bid opening on or about July 18, 2014. Bidders are responsible for monitoring and downloading any amendments from FedBizOpps which may be issued to this solicitation. This notice is for informational purposed only and is not a request for submission of bids. All prospective contractors must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) via the Federal System for Award Management (SAM) (www.sam.gov) and verified in the VetBiz website, www.vetbiz.gov, to be considered for award. The Contracting Officer will not be able to answer any question to this notice until an IFB is issued and questions will only be answered that are received by Request for Information (RFI). The Contracting Office will not maintain a bidder's mailing list at this point. All interested parties should register via FedBizOpps interested vendors list. Do not contact the Contracting Officer for General Contractor Information. It is the responsibility of the bidder to monitor and download amendments from FedBizOpps which may be issued to this solicitation.
