Description
The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) has a requirement for the United States Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) for toolbelt software. This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC)2001-27. This requirement is unrestricted. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 511210 with a size standard of $35.5 million. This code shall be listed in System for Award Management (SAM.gov) prior to award. The following are the Minimum Essential Characteristics (MECS) for the requirement: 1. Must have Plug-in that connects a source control system to SQL Server Management Studio. Ability to Link database to: a. SVN b. Vault c. TFS d. Perforce e. Git f. Mercurial 2. Must have the ability to Compare and synchronize SQL Server database schema a. Generate T-SQL scripts that update one SQL Server database to match the schema of another b. Find and fix errors caused by differences between databases c. Compare and synchronize within SQL Server Management Studio d. Deploy to SQL Azure databases or SQL Server on Amazon RDS 3. Must have the ability to Compare and synchronize SQL Server database contents a. Copy lookup data from development databases to staging or production b. Generate T-SQL scripts to update one database with the contents of another c. Quickly fix problems by restoring damaged or missing data to a single row d. Keep an accurate history of all previous database records e. Compare and synchronize data within SSMS f. Deploy to SQL Azure databases, or SQL Server on Amazon RDS 4. Must have the functionality to Write, refactor, and explore SQL a. save, search, and recover tabs in SSMS b. IntelliSense-style code c. Customizable code formatting d. Save code snippets e. Refactor SQL code 5. Must be able to Generate realistic test data fast, based on column and table names a. Create large volumes of data within a couple of clicks in SQL Server Management Studio b. Generate meaningful test data at row level c. Shareable custom generators - save regexp and SQL statement generators to share with your team d. Column-intelligent data generation - generate data in one column based on the data in another e. Flexibility and manual control for creating foreign key data 6. Must be able to Explore object dependencies and visualize complex databases simply a. Quickly understand the database by graphically tracking database object dependencies b. Rapidly document database dependencies for archiving, reporting, version control, and auditing c. Quickly visualize areas of complexity with dependency diagrams and text-based dependency checker d. Track dependencies between several related databases in the same diagram and project e. Find potential orphans with no dependencies on other objects, to help clean up a database 7. Must be able to Compress, securely encrypt and strengthen backups a. Step-by-step wizards and a centralised GUI take the legwork out of creating, restoring, and verifying your backups. b. Protect against backups failing due to network outages. c. Secure your backups with up to 256-bit AES encryption, compressing them at the same time, even from an unencrypted database. d. Automate more than just taking backups, including backup verification, scheduled restores, and log shipping. e. Save storage space, speed up network file transfer, and get higher levels of compression than native SQL Server. f. Let backups verify themselves. Schedule regular restores, and include an essential database integrity check (DBCC CHECKDB). 8. Must have SQL Server performance monitoring and alerting a. Web-based monitoring, available from any device b. Real-time performance data and alerts 9. Must be able to Search database quickly in SQL Server Management Studio a. Compatible with SQL Server 2008, 2005 and 2000 17. One year of support and upgrades All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered by the agency. The competitive solicitation, solicitation amendments and all questions and answers relating to this procurement shall be made available via the Internet at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/ or https://www.fedbizopps.gov. The solicitation is anticipated for release to the vendor community on or about May 19, 2014, and will only be available until May 27, 2014. Specifications of the requirement are provided in solicitation: W81XWH-14-T-0209. Potential offerors are responsible for accessing the website. Interested parties must respond to the solicitation in order to be considered for award of any resultant contract. To be eligible for an award, offerors SHALL be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM.gov) and have completed its representations and certification completed via SAM.gov.
