Description
This is a pre-solicitation notice. Estimated release date of the RFP to the two sources below is 30 May 2014. The AFLCMC/WNKBBB Contracting Office at Robins AFB, GA, has a requirement for a quantity of 365 Medium Shelter Systems, NSN 5419-01-465-3019EJ (Tan) and 5419-01-465-3023EJ (Green). In accordance with FAR 6.302-1, this acquisition will only be procured via limited sources. Those sources and its part numbers are as follows: Company Alaska Structures Inc. (AKS) CAMSS Shelters (CAMSS) Street Address 6772 S Kings Ranch Rd 13960 179 th Ave, SE City, State Zip Gold Canyon, AZ, 85118-2925 Monroe, WA 98272-1107 DUNS 043979665 806122586 Cage Code 0GC93 1M7W1 Part Number Tan AK-3052-MSS-2 CA-MSS-HIT-29.522T Part Number Green AK-3052-MSS-1 CA-MSS-HIT-29.522G This contract action is intended to be a temporary measure to fulfill Mission Capability gaps found within the medium shelters inventory, while a future competitive action is developed. The two sources above are currently the only approved sources for Medium Shelters Systems in the inventory. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement to be considered by the agency. The MSS includes all parts and equipment necessary to erect, operate, maintain, and strike the shelter system. The shelter will consist of a tension fabric shelter structure with approximately 1500 square feet of unobstructed useable floor space, two hinged double vehicle doors, two hinged personnel doors, membrane flooring, insulation, spares/repair kit, lighting, electrical system, receptacles and switches, and air distribution ducting. The Government intends to award a two-year, firm fixed price contract. The RFP and resultant contract will be structured with a basic quantity of 112 and one option with a quantity of 253. A Statement of Work will be provided as part of the RFP package along with various mandatory data deliverables. Foreign Companies will not be permitted to participate in the competition. Delivery Requirements will be the first 45 shelters to be delivered 60 calendar days after contract award, with subsequent deliveries being 30 units per 30 calendars day afterwards. FAR Part 12 and Part 15 procedures will be utilized. The two sources above shall prepare their proposals in accordance with mandatory, explicit, and detailed instruction contained in the RFP. Award will be made to the lowest price, responsible offeror. Interested offerors may notify the POCs listed below for any additional questions. NO TELEPHONE QUESTIONS.
