- The United States Army Mission and Installation Contracting Command - Yuma Proving Ground (MICC-YPG) has a requirement to supply Vaisala Radiosondes, model number RS92-SGPL, currently in use at U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground, AZ (USAYPG), which is required to collect upper air meteorological data for determining atmospheric conditions prior to the initiation of a test mission. These radiosondes must be compatible with the Vaisala DigiCORA III Upper Air Sounding System infrastructure currently in use on USAYPG. This Sources Sought Notice is for market research and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the MICC-YPG. The purpose of this notice is to identify potential sources that may be interested in and capable of performing the work described herein. MICC-YPG will not respond to questions received from industry at this time. MICC-YPG does not intend to award a contract on the basis of responses, nor otherwise pay for the preparation of any information submitted, nor will respondents be notified of the MICC-YPG review of the information received. The information obtained from this notice will be utilized as market research for consideration in acquisition planning for this requirement. Interested sources shall provide all feedback via email to the Point of Contact (POC) listed below no later than 8:00 AM Mountain Standard Time (MST), on 27 May 2014. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this requirement is 334511 quote mark Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing quote mark with a size standard of 750 employees. If you feel that your firm possesses the ability to provide these requirements, then you must respond by demonstrating your firm's technical capability to meet these requirements. In order to protect proprietary information and prevent the unintentional releasing of guarded information all interested firms must conduct their own research regarding the specifications of the above listed requirement. The capability statements shall not exceed two (2) pages and must include the following: 1.Company Name; Company Address; and POC name, phone number, and e-mail address 2.DUNS and CAGE code 3.Company Business Size/ Small business certification, if applicable (i.e., 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB) 4.Familiarity and knowledge of the requirement 5.For Authorized Distributors: Memorandum of Agreement demonstrating the authorization to distribute Vaisala products.
