- Description
- The work to be performed under this project consists of the construction of rock crossings at 2 sites. The crossings are located on existing roadbeds. The roadbeds will be excavated to natural channel elevation for the length specified. The bottom and the slopes of the crossings will be covered with geotextile, and 6 inches of rock-fill. Rock-fill with geotextile will be added at specified locations to the access road. Improvement of existing access roads other than placing rock-fill may be required for heavy equipment access. Areas disturbed during construction shall be seeded. Major items of work include an approximated: 320 Tons of rockfil for compaction on crossings and road repair; 6.1 acres of seeding for permanent cover; and 1,740 S.Y. of geotextile for use when installing rock crossings. The performance time is 32 calendar days (including mobilization). The estimated price range is between $30,000 - $100,000. The NAICS code for this solicitation is 237990. The solicitation will be available for viewing and/or downloading from website, www.fbo.gov on or about Thursday, June 5, 2014. Interested parties are invited to attend a pre-bid meeting and site showing on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Meet at Gable Mini Mart at the crossroads of Highway 301 and Brewington Road. Directions to the meeting place are as follows: as you leave Manning, SC, procede North on Highway 521/301. Turn right onto Highway 301 North towards Turbeville and stay on Hwy 301 for 7.5 miles and, the store will be on the right. It is a small, white, concrete block building. After a brief meeting concerning bidding procedures and a discussion of the specifications, a site showing on the project will follow.
